The history of .alpa. begins right after the II WW among the Tuscan hills in heart of Renaissance and specifically in the 1950s when Aladino Panchetti, at the age of 14 y.o., begins working in a small artisan wood work shop nearby Vinci.
During this working experience he learns how to plane, smooth and treat woods in many ways with many tools. Some of these old and traditional tools are still used today to do fine artisan workmanships.
His capacities will bring him to be employed in 1960 in a home living company near Castelfiorentino and he becomes responsible for the entire production. The passion for his job brings him to open his own company in 1974 .alpa.
At the beginning of the 1980s Italy has to confront a big crisis in the industry, due to the new competitive industry rising in east Europe but he never stops believing in his dream and proudly moves his operations into a bigger facility investing in brand new machinery.
Aladino is able to pass his passion onto his son Pier Luigi Panchetti, who after finishing his studies he decides to start working with his father. In 1992 they establish a new company, enlarging the company, the production capacity as well as quality of the final product.
